Organic sheepskin

Our beautiful, hardy breed of Spelsau-sheep graze the hills South of our Agroforestry site. We practice holistic grazing on 7 ha rented land. The area would otherwise be managed conventionally. The grazing system provides the sheep with a great diversity of plants, increases the local biodiversity and sequesters carbon in the soil. 

Our sheep are organically certified and are slaughtered locally. The skins are tanned at Tranås Tannery in Sweden, which is your guarantee for the most environmentally friendly handling and tanning.

Arealtilskud Bedriften Permakulturhaven (CVR 35021965 v/Karoline Nolsø Aaen) har modtaget Økologisk Arealtilskud til at omlægge og drive bedriftens landbrugsarealer økologisk. Formålet med tilskuddet er at øge det økologiske areal i Danmark og derved opnå en række fordele for miljøet og biodiversitet. Tilskuddet har medført, at bedriften har været i stand til at opretholde en økologisk jordbrugsproduktion på bedriftens landbrugsarealer og sælge økologisk producerede fødevarer.
